Hot Information

I want a computer to be on the look out for any instances of hot words that I specify.

New Artist releases in music, new films. People references. Mention of people I know. Subject matter I am interested in. Urgent work-related stuff. Intelligence on competitors.

At first in the web browser, then in e-mail, then in IM, schedules, everywhere.

I will try to program a browser extension. Then an e-mail extension.

Or at first, make a java program to do it. Copy and paste from one window into another? Tedious, but maybe faster development.

After time, the computer should learn which words I am interested in, from search terms to pages that i follow a lot.
